Going to school, eating enough.
Madagascar has one of the highest child poverty rates in the world. Around Antsirabe, many families struggle to send their children to school and to feed them properly.
Our partner, Scolarisation Madagascar, works to protect children: it helps street children and children from poor families go to school and get a free meal every day.
From 2023 to 2025, the mission took place in Antananarivo, with the association 2,400 Sourires. Since 2026, it has been based in Antsirabe.
What the volunteers do.
Our partner gives us a lot of freedom: much of the mission is made up of projects the team sets up on site.
Supporting teachers
Helping teachers in class and giving extra support to pupils who struggle, in class or in small groups.
Activities with the children
Workshops, games, outings and even cooking lessons at the Fanantenana centre, where everyone lends a hand.
Renovation
A large part of the 2026 mission went into repairing school spaces.
Beyond school
Street outreach, a canteen for street children and support for the partner's other projects.

At 1,500 metres, a different pace.
Two months on site, with curiosity and initiative. Antsirabe sits high on the plateau, so nights are cool: a complete change of scene, in a strikingly beautiful region.
A mission for anyone who wants to get involved in both education and the hands-on work of renovation.
The 2026 mission.
Renovating a school takes funding.
Building materials, teaching materials, outings with the children: your donation helps the team carry out the projects it sets up on site.
